Main Federations

Organization: The tournament is organized under the regulations of the Spanish Rugby Federation (FER).

Participating Athletes

Number of Players per Team: 8 players (7 on the field and 1 substitute).

Team Composition:

• Each team will consist of:
  • 4 players without disabilities (2 men and 2 women).
  • 4 players with intellectual disabilities.
• Players on the Field:
  • During the match, the 7 players on the field must maintain the proportion of players with and without disabilities, as well as gender balance (men and women).

Competitions - Events

Competition Format:

• A 7-a-side Rugby match will be played under the "seven competition" format.
• Teams will be inclusive (players with and without disabilities) and mixed (players of both genders).

Match Duration:

• The match will last a total of 16 minutes, divided into two halves of 7 minutes each.
• Break: There will be a 2-minute break between the two halves.

Specific Rules:

• The official rules of 7-a-side rugby will apply, with necessary adaptations to ensure equitable and safe participation for all players.
• Teams must maintain the inclusive and mixed structure throughout the match.

Scoring

Scoring System:

• The standard 7-a-side rugby scoring system will be applied, according to the rules established by the FER.
• Points will be awarded based on standard rules, with tries, conversions, and possible penalties.

Awards

Medals:

• Gold Medal: Awarded to the winning team of the match.
• Silver Medal: Awarded to the team that finishes in second place.
